Photograph taken along the frothy Blackwater River at the base of the canyon and features the roaring waters of West Virginia's most famous waterfall, Blackwater Falls. Circumventing house size boulders, a steep downhill climb, and rough terrain were required to be in this spot in the wilds of West Virginia. The opposite shore contains a more visitor friendly boardwalk and deck to enjoy the waterfall. Blackwater Falls contains water drained from Canaan Valley and 62 feet into the beginning of the impressive Blackwater Canyon.
