Originally, the North Shore of Pittsburgh was often cited as an embarrassment for the city as it contained a number of disjointed elements that weren't quite tied together. However, the North Shore has enjoyed an amazing renaissance following the construction of PNC Park and Heinz Field that now complements the stunning view of Pittsburgh's downtown that can be enjoyed here. New buildings have sprouted and tasty artistic touches, including a man made waterfall, now adorn and tie together Pittsburgh's North Shore. The area has become a focal point of Pittsburgh recreation for boating, bike riding, skateboarding, or just a leisurely stroll across from the skyscrapers of Pittsburgh.
Below are pictures taken at, along, on, or of Pittsburgh's North Shore.
