Cucumber Falls is located in Ohiopyle State Park, Pennsylvania and is made up of Cucumber Run making a 39 foot plunge over a cliff into a steep rocky ravine less than a hundred yards from the raging rapids of the Youghiogheny River. A small parking area offers a short walk to an overlook, but following steps cut into the ravine's wall allows the visitor to walk down into the moss and rhododendron filled ravine where the thunderous sound of Cucumber Falls drowns out even the sounds of children screaming as they walk under the fall's chilly waters. Cucumber Falls, in my opinion, is one of the most photogenic waterfalls in western Pennsylvania.
