An Open Sandy Beach Along Lake Erie's Shore

Lake Erie's gentle waves lap against pebbles that give way to the soft sands of one of many beaches along Presque Isle. The shallowest of the great lakes can become surprisingly warm by August, which makes for some comfortable swimming. The constant winds where water meets land makes kite flying a popular venture here.
