Autumn Along Cranberry Glade Lake's Shoreline

A sunny clear afternoon in the middle of October is pictured along the forest's edge before Cranberry Glade Lake. In the background on the top of Laurel Ridge can be seen several of the windmills overlooking the lake. This warm tranquil scene quickly gives way to bitter cold as less than one month later the lake was covered over in ice with more than a foot of snow on the grounds surrounding it. Winter is normally early and harsh along the top of Laurel Ridge.
