Pioneer Farm Site of Mount Vernon

Even while the first Commander in Chief of the United States, George Washington thought of himself first and foremost as a farmer. Here you will see preserved a working farm replica of what the estate was like in the 18th century. In the background you can see the 16 sided barn that George Washington himself designed.
