Youghiogheny River Trail Blazed in Autumn Color

Pictured is the ramp connecting Connellsville with the Yough River Trail leading north. Going north from Connellsville to McKeesport is approximately 43 miles. However the trail leading south, my preference, is a gorgeous and often breathtaking 27 miles of literal wilderness. Here the Youghiogheny River carves its way through both Chestnut and Laurel Ridge. This clash results in many scenic waterfalls, and the Youghiogheny River turns violent with rapids.
