Hiking the trails of the San Tan Mountain Regional Park in southeastern Maricopa County (near Queen Creek, AZ) yielded this picture of a Saguaro Cactus standing tall with the rocky 2500 foot San Tan Mountain peaks in the background. A dormant Ocotillo Cactus branches can be seen in the immediate foreground. Picture was taken on December 20, 2008 as I enjoyed a nice reprieve from a PA winter hiking in 70 degree weather.
